Growing up in Spain has meant that Elizabeth is very attached to all things Spanish, from the wine to pork products to the Europop music! 

Elizabeth’s career in the wine industry started well before she came of working age. Her parents managed a small winery in Spain, and it was here that she became infected with a passion for all things vinous. In 2004, Elizabeth undertook her MBA, specialising in the wine industry and this led to several high-profile roles in the UK industry. ​​Elizabeth adores travelling to far-flung places, is passionate about introducing her children to the finer ‘foodie’ things in life and on weekends is usually found preparing a sumptuous feast as she loves entertaining!

Astrid Lewis

co-founder

With nearly three decades of experience in the industry, Astrid has left her mark across both hemispheres, working with wineries and brands of all sizes across public relations, events, education, advertising and marketing strategy.

A recipient of the prestigious Vin de Champagne Scholarship many moons ago, Astrid's drinks career began in her native Australia where she was fortunate to work with a dynamic team across the iconic international portfolio at importer/distributor Tucker Seabrook. Seeking new horizons, Astrid moved to the UK in early 2000 where she has enjoyed a range of senior roles in Marketing, PR, Events and Commercial and Brand Management. With expertise in international education and new product development, she is well placed to understand the dynamics of the UK market and the requirements to maximise brand presence.

Astrid holds her WSET Diploma and is a Dame Chevalier of the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne, and enjoys sharing her passion for fine food, wine and spirits with friends and family.

Marinel spent over a decade working in and studying the luxury sector working for Louis Roederer, Dom Pérignon, Grace Belgravia and the Antinori Family. Additionally, Marinel spent two years writing for the Drinks and Spirits Business editorial team as well as a year working in wine marketing and public relations in Hong Kong.

Gemma has over twenty years' experience in the wine industry and for the past 15 years, specifically in communications, Gemma has made her specialty brand PR, notably for retailers including Tesco and Berry Bros. & Rudd. Gemma is also working at the Wine Society, job sharing her role as PR Manager, which she balances with her role with Spritz.

Gemma duncan

Jane started her career some 25 years ago in the world of magazine publishing and has worked within the marketing, brand comms and design sectors ever since. Working with the likes of Heinz, Unilever, Twinings, Land Rover Jaguar & Vodaphone over the years she now supports the Spritz team with the creation of targeted brand campaigns, media monitoring and creative design.  Jane has worked with the team for over five years.
