Sogevinus Fine Wines is a privately-owned company and brings together five major brands including the oldest Port Wine House (Kopke), the best-selling Port Wine brand in Portugal (Velhotes) and the most visited cellar in Portugal with approximately 250,000 visitors annually (Cálem). In addition to these brands, the group also includes Burmester and Barros, which together represent five centuries of wine. As well as securing worldwide recognition for Port production, Sogevinus has been making DOC Douro wines of exceptional quality since 2006. With a strong international position and through maintaining the wisdom of generations as well as applying the high standards of quality, DOC Douro Sogevinus wines are acclaimed by critics and specialist publications at an international level. With 360ha of vines spread over three estates (Quinta do Bairro, Quinta de São Luiz and Quinta do Arnozelo), Sogevinus is committed to sustainable practices that seek to preserve a unique terroir in the world, the birthplace of their wines.
We started working with Sogevinus and three of their brands, Kopke, Cálem and Barros, in February 2019 as they were looking for support in an increasingly competitive UK market. We work to increase awareness of the brands, and especially their expertise on tawny, white and Colheita Ports. While our work is mainly B2B, we are also always looking out for great opportunities to show off these brands in consumer and lifestyle magazines. We facilitate press trips, events in the UK, sampling and much more. We advise on UK marketing strategy including advertising spend and external events and partnerships.
